i’m dying for alice + olivia’s resort 2012 collection. she’s using all my favorite colors (lots of GREENS and COBALT blue) and i’m loving the femmy silhouettes of everything.

brights: in ethnic prints, color-blocked, or stripes. i have always worn lots of brights and mixed and matched random colors anyway so i am glad this trend is in right now.
peanut butter, cotton candy, and pistachio sorbet today to celebrate the warm weather. we won’t talk about the hardee’s thickburger i had later :/

i’m getting spring redecorating bug. out with the old and in with the new. but not too much new stuff because matt and i still want to move eventually!
here’s what i’m saving for right now:
Bed Bench: We loved the one at the hotel we stayed at in Asheville. For one, I can be lazy and just toss clothes and things on it instead of on the floor. But also the kitties can sleep on it and it provides extra storage space. I love this one from West Elm.

matt’s dying for a headboard so he can prop his lazy ass up and watch tv all day or read. i’ve never had one either but i love the way it makes your bed look so majestic!

a statement chair like one of these: big bucks! but worth the save. i want to find one that has lots of colors to pull all the colors in the room together.

i have a collection of lamp shades with no lamp bases to put them on!!! out with the cheapie floor lamps…. i am searching for really special vintage lamp bases that will go with the shades

so my bed now is a colorful but hot mess. the quilts are a few years old and i am ready for something new! this is what they look like now:

i am thinking of replacing them with a more simplistic option like this jersey quilt from anthropologie in a plain color which is very against my grain but playing it up by mixing prints with the sheets and shams.

y’all know i like expensive shoes….. but these little ditties were a steal only $48 from urban outfitters. I LOVE THEM. comfortable for me to wear to work and a great color. the orange will go with everything. just mix all the brights you’re seeing. i am going to love these with my green high waisted linen shorts and a printed tank.

i can’t wait until spring!!! i am already tired of thick, cozy sweaters and scarves. i’m drowning in them at work every day…….. our spring merchandise has started trickling in slowly. these bright, vibrant colors are so inspiring. i need warmth and sun again!
