Matt wanted Indian food…AGAIN. I guess he gets in his moods where he wants the same thing over and over. He’s never tried Maharani which is really yummy so we went there.

It is a mostly vegetarian buffet with a couple of chicken dishes. I like buffets because of the variety but definitely prefer to order off the menu for higher quality dishes.

I like any curries that have bold flavors but mild spice. My favorites always have spinach or peas or a sweet tomato sauce.

I’m in a mood today so I had Matt go out and bring Indian food home. Ordered a combination appetizer plate, Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikki Masala, Poori and Naan bread. Took some aspirin and curled up on my big chair with my favorite freshly washed quilt. Matt and I love Indian food. Charlotte has great ethnic cuisine and some really good Indian restaurants.

Curry is a generic description used throughout Western culture to describe a variety of dishes from Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Thai or other South and Southeast Asian cuisines. Three spices found in most curry powders are turmeric, coriander, and cumin; a wide range of additional spices may be included depending on the geographic region and the foods being included (meats, fish, lentils, rice, etc.).[1]

matt and i had dinner at COPPER tonight. it’s an modern upscale indian restaurant we’ve been dying to try that is literally a short 2 block walk down the street. i’ve always heard a lot about it and it’s a little pricey but TOTALLY worth it. everything was perfectly seasoned and so delicious.

matt didn’t want his picture taken, oh well! the decor was cool….the walls were painted like an exotic tiger and there were awesome watercolor portraits everywhere of traditional indian headpieces.
